TAMA HARI, 6 Mar: The residents of remote Tama Hari village in Upper Subansiri district received solar-powered lights through the initiative of one Kenge Riba, a local youth from Dumporijo circle of the district.

Reportedly, the village, due to its difficult terrain, did not have power supply connection for the past 35 years.

Riba and his team installed solar lighting in the village, bringing much-needed light and hope to the residents.

Expressing gratitude to Riba and his team, former ASM Tapop Nirin shared that his 95-year-old mother was extremely happy to see electricity reach the village during her lifetime. She also extended her heartfelt blessings to Riba for making it possible.

The villagers of Tama Hari, along with several community leaders, including former ASM Tukka Yudik, Commander Nirin, former GPM Malen Hali (former president, Galo Welfare Society Upper Subansiri unit), and former ASM Border Nirin also thanked Riba and his team for the remarkable initiative that has transformed the lives of the villagers.
