YUPIA, Sep 5: District Health Society Chairman and Papum Pare DC, Tai Kaye emphasized on awarding supply work to authorized medicine dealers only to maintain authenticity of the medicines.
Speaking at a district level workshop on National Deworming Day (NDD) and review on IMI and RI micro plan conducted by the District Health Society (DHS) of Papum Pare on September 5, Kaye also called for rationalization of medicine distribution as per the requirements of the health facility, with strict adherence to guidelines by medicine suppliers.
DMO, Dr Tasso Kampu also stressed on effective implementation of NDD & IMI programme so that benefits reach to the people at grass root level. She felt that such health programmes require voluntarily services by everyone without worrying about the incentives.
ICDS DD, Dani Yami also requested all officers and staff, including Anganwadi workers to cooperate with the Health Department during such programmes.
Further, DDSE representatives assured all possible assistance from the Education Department and requested for provision of incentives to the teachers who are entrusted to assist in such programmes.
DRCHO, Dr J Ado gave a presentation on NDD and its achievements, while WHO SMO Dr Tage Taka gave a presentation on IMI and RI micro plan. (DIPRO)
