BOMDILA, Jul 2: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop said geo-tagging of the projects under the NEC, NLCPR, BADP, SPA, RIDF, SIDF, MPLADS, etc, is a must to ensure transparency and accountability.
“Besides clear review and monitoring of the schemes implemented, this would facilitate proper planning for the new schemes to be implemented, whereby chances of duplicity would be totally eliminated,” she said during a training programme on ‘Mobile application and management of information system (MIS) under the satellite-based monitoring and geo-tagging of developmental projects’ here on Monday.
Experts from the planning & investment department and the State Remote Sensing Application Center imparted hands-on training on mobile application and MIS to the HoDs and representatives of all the project implementing agencies.
On Sunday, the team, accompanied by the district planning unit, geo-tagged various schemes in Dirang block.
Schemes in Nafra and Kalaktang blocks will be geo-tagged on Tuesday, and the remaining schemes will be covered in the second phase. (DIPRO)
