YUPIA, Jul 4: A review meeting of Papum Pare district health department was conducted here at the DC’s conference hall on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda.
Presiding over the meeting, the deputy commissioner said that the district administration is committed to deliver public service and that dereliction of duty will not be tolerated. He also asked the department to ensure that health services are of good quality.
Interacting with the officers, Dr Beda reviewed all the ongoing health programmes and asked the health department to prepare standard operating procedure of all programmes.
The DC also directed the department to constitute the food safety committee immediately under the Food Safety and Standards Act to regulate the food sector under FSSAI guidelines and standards to be follow in the food market as a safety measures for the general public.
To promote AYUSH medicine, he called on the department to give instructions to all PHCs and CHCs, where medical officers of AYUSH are posted, to plant medicinal plants in their premises to make people aware of benefits of locally available plants and herbs.
Later, the DC, along with District Medical Officer Dr Subu Tasso Kampu, DRCHO Dr W Taku and other officers released the medicines for disaster preparedness for the PHCs and CHCs in the district from district medicine store.
During the meeting, several important issues related to functioning of health department as well as status of ongoing health projects were discussed in detail.
Programme officers of various health projects, including Dr R Ronya, DSO IDSF, Dr Tana Aruna, DVBDCP, Dr Tana Raju, DANO, and Duggir Padu, DPM presented the overview of health projects and NHM Papum Pare. (DIPRO)
