HOLLONGI, Jul 18: A massive cleanliness drive was conducted at the Hollongi Rajgarh Market (Assam) by 30 personnel of the 12th Bn NDRF, D Company, along with the help of the Hollongi Rajgarh Market Association and shopkeepers on Wednesday.
With the purpose of spreading awareness on cleanliness among the local residents and shopkeepers of the market, the 12th Bn NDRF D company team, led by Inspector Indra Singh Bisht appealed to all to participate in regular cleanliness drives and make the area clean and green.
He also informed that the drive is one of the many activities under the Swachhta Phakhwada Awards -2018, which began on 16 July and will end on 31 July.
Hollongi Rajgarh Market Association president Lokhiram Basumatri informed that a weekly cleanliness drive is held in the market, but it is not enough to clear the entire market at once. He also thanked the NDRF for its initiative.
