DCC office inaugurated

NAMSAI, Jul 27: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy inaugurated the Namsai District Congress Committee (DCC) office here on Friday.
In his address, Sanjoy described the Congress as “the only party which stands by every single people in this country, irrespective of social, economic and cultural background.”
Sanjoy also advised the youths of the district to keep away from drug use.
“The drug menace in the district has kept the youths unaware of political developments and other development-related activities in the district,” he opined.
RGPRS state convenor Jaya Joram elaborated the significance of the panchayati raj institutions in the process of village development.
She slammed the BJP-led state government for “suppressing the right of the people’s participation in development process by overlooking the importance of PR bodies.”
APYC vice-president Kipa Takum, former minister Bida Taku, APCC general secretary Nuney Tayeng, Namsai DCC president Kenli Riba and DCC secretary Chikwa Mura also spoke.
