BANDERDEWA, Jul 28: Officers and officials from various government departments provided services to a large number of people during the capital complex administration’s jan sunwai sammelan (JSS) held at the Nyokum ground here on Saturday.
While the police department disseminated information about the procedure of filing complaints, the Banderdewa CO issued ST and other certificates, and the SBI opened bank accounts and facilitated people vis-à-vis Atal Pension Yojana and Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Swasthya Bima Yojana.
The Itanagar Municipal Council issued forms for trading licences, and the tax & excise department issued forms for opening of wine shops in rural areas. The Oju Welfare Mission created awareness on child adoption procedures, women helpline, and one-stop centre.
An awareness camp on consumers’ rights and duties, disaster management, sanitation, legal awareness, etc, was also held.
The programme was earlier inaugurated by Banderdewa HGB Gichik Lalin.
In Longding, Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Mallik inaugurated the district’s first ever prashashan aapke dwar programme here on Saturday.
The DC visited the counters of all the departments and interacted with the team members about the services being provided. At the counter of the relief & rehabilitation department, the DC handed over the pre-approved relief amounts of Rs 1,01,900 each in cheques to two fire victims. He also launched the e-ILP and Swachh Survekshan Gramin-2018.
As many as 21 departments offered services under one roof during the programme.
“The people of Longding are really thankful to the state government and the chief minister for the innovative idea of bringing government services to their door steps,” said Chasa Boham (about 50), a beneficiary.
“Many of us were not aware of such government schemes until now, and it really has benefited every one of us today,” he said.
Other services provided during the programme were issuance of forms for new electrical and water connections, trading licence, renewal of arms licence, old age pension, widow pension, PMMVY, PMEGP, GST checklist and form, etc.
The SBI branch processed beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana; the civil supplies department issued forms for FPS licences, new ration cards, etc; and the agriculture department issued soil health cards, provided vegetable seeds, spray machines, etc.
The statistic branch made Aadhaar enrollment, and the health department registered beneficiaries and provided services like free check-up for blood sugar, BP, etc. The department also facilitated immunization, free distribution of contraceptives, and created awareness on Dulari Kanya.
The deputy commissioner informed that the programme would be held at every block across the district during August-September this year. (With input from DIPRO)
