ITANAGAR, Sep 24: As part of the Paryatan Parv (tourism festival), tourism-related activities were organized in various parts of the state in the last couple of days by the tourism department in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators’ Association (APTOA).
In Changlang, rural women, students, and homestay runners were trained on basic hospitality and homestay operation by officials of the department and members of the APTOA. The local administration supported the programme, which was held at the Namdapha jungle camp in Miao.
In Bomdila, a cleanliness drive under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ was conducted on 21 September in collaboration with the West Kameng district administration and the UD and PHE departments.
Cleanliness drives were also conducted at Buddha Park in Tawang by the tourism department, with support from students of Monyul Niketan Vidhyapith, homestay runners, business community, and former panchayat leaders.
