DEOMALI, Sep 29: A motivational programme themed ‘Role models of Tirap district’ was organized for students and career seekers of the district at Wangcha Rajkumar Government College here on Friday.
Assistant Professor Chayon Bangyang highlighted the aims and objectives of programme, while the college’s principal motivated the students by citing examples of some of the most successful persons in the various walks of life.
Botany professor Sumpam Tangjang from RGU advised the students to emulate those who made progress in their lives from relatively humble backgrounds.
Music composer Roshan Thiongnok spoke on the importance of attitude and behaviour with others in life. He also informed the students about various opportunities available in the field of music.
PHE&WS Additional Secretary Ranphoa Ngowa, chief of Bera village and progressive farmer Bewang Lowang, and chairman of Chabey-Yinkap Foundation Yutan Sunya also gave useful tips to the students on various subjects.
An interaction session was also held between the students and resource persons.
