AALO, Oct 13: A meeting of the district task force (DTF) was held in the conference hall of the general hospital here on Saturday for the launch of Mission Indradhanush and Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) all over the district in letter and spirit to achieve 90 percent FIC by December, 2018.
The mission will locate all unvaccinated children and pregnant mothers in different pockets from 22nd October to 22nd December.
Addressing the meeting, Circle Officer Binti Mibang exhorted the doctors to give adequate coverage of vaccination to children and mothers as per set target of the Government of India working hand in hand with administrative officers, PRIs and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).
DMO Dr Nyage Geyi in his address asked all doctors in CHCs, PHCs and sub centres to focus on micro plans for better performances and suggested utilizing the services of unutilised staffers of the medical department in urban areas.
He also asked doctors to report non-performing ASHAs for termination.
DFWO Dr Tomar Kamki and DPM Yomto Lollen dwelt on the campaign in the month of May to August and through a power point presentation spelt out state timelines, introduction of tally sheet and grey areas where focus and thrust is to be given. (DIPRO)
