ITANAGAR, Oct 13: MLA Techi Kaso flagged off the ambulance under the National Ambulance Service (NAS) for UPHC Itafort, here on Saturday.
Kaso hoped that the ambulance will cater to the needs of the people in need, especially to pregnant women and emergency cases of accidents. He further hoped that the ambulance would serve the purpose and would be of great help to needy patients.
He lauded the team of Itafort health centre which has been upgraded from a dispensary to UPHC and hoped that the team will continue working dedicatedly and sincerely for the benefit of the people. He also appreciated them for keeping the hospital neat and clean.
Dr Kabak Tamar informed that the UPHC Itafort has witnessed a lot of achievements in the past two years, namely its upgrade from dispensary to a UPHC, renovation of labour room which was made functional, complete repair and renovation of civil work of building done with help from Capital Complex district administration.
One of the major achievements was launching e-Hospital at the UPHC on 21st May, 2018 which was inaugurated by Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan.
DMO Dr Subu Tasso Kampu briefed about the functioning of UPHC Itafort which has all the basic facilities.
The DMO also requested the officers and staff to discharge their duty dedicatedly and sincerely and to use the ambulance, drugs and other consumable and logistics judiciously for the benefit of the public of Itanagar.
She also requested the MO in-charge to start 24×7 emergency services with immediate effect as the UPHC is equipped with enough human resources.
