Attending the closing ceremony, Arunachal Karate-Do Association president Likha Tara appreciated the efforts made by the lifters during the competition, and said that weightlifting is the cleanest among all the sports since there is no possibility of indulging in any favouritism, which is often seen in other games and sports.
Earlier, the inaugural function was attended by president of Arunachal Tennis Association Dr Hatobin Mai.
In total, 256 lifters from 18 affiliated units under Arunachal Weightlifting Association, including some international weightlifters participated in the championship.
