Bank officials asked to cultivate professionalism

NAHARLAGUN, Oct 27: Administrator of the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank, Habung Lampung, advised the officers and officials of the bank to cultivate professionalism “with positive and productive attitudes in handling any assigned work.”
Addressing a training programme on ‘Office rules and procedures, and conduct rules’ for officers and officials of the Apex Bank at the Administrative Training Institute here on Saturday, Lampung highlighted the importance of knowing the rules and procedures.
“As a banker, one needs to follow the prescribed rules and procedures while dealing with the banking business,” he said, adding that bankers need to have patience to resolve customers’ complaints.
Lampung advised the participants, especially the senior officers, to “develop effective communication skills while building up an excellent team work for the overall growth of the Apex Bank.”
Earlier, the bank’s managing director, Tsering Thondok, said that besides the usual training on banking matters, training on official rules and procedures is necessary in day-to-day working of the bank.
The resource person of the training was Vince V Thomas, junior analyst at the administrative reform department, who dwelt on various office rules and procedures.
