PAKAM, Oct 27: “Literature is the mirror in which we see our society, and many wonderful civilizations are based on the strength of creative writings of the writers across the world,” said Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) president YD Thongchi while addressing a huge gathering during the ‘Gramlok Poets Meet’ at Pakam village in West Siang district on Friday.
Thongchi said that stories, anecdotes, poems, and plays could inculcate the values of humanism, love, sublimity, and liberalism, and stressed the need to create platforms for the budding writers of the state.
He informed that the APLS, through its district units, would help the state’s upcoming writers and poets in their endeavour to bring out their books.
The APLS team, which included Galo Language Development Committee (GLDC) chairman Dr Takop Zirdo, Dy365 reporter Mukul Pathak, and GLDC secretary Yadom Loyi also visited Kabu Maasi and Kugi Komto villages. (DIPRO)
