TAWANG, Dec 7: A series of awareness and school safety programmes were conducted from 30 November to 7 December at various schools and government institutions in Tawang district by Doimukh-based 12th Bn National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), in collaboration with the district disaster management authority.
The programmes were held at the Seru secondary school, the Kitpi secondary school, the DC office here, the town secondary school, the Tawang higher secondary school, the Bomba secondary school, and the Lungla higher secondary school.
At Lungla, the students and other participants were trained on fire safety techniques, search and rescue methods, and first aid.
The programmes were coordinated by DDMO Tsangpa Tashi.
