CHANGLANG, Dec 18: The Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (APBOCWWB) organized ‘awareness-cum-registration of unorganized workers’ programmes at the multipurpose hall and PK Point market here on 15 and 16 December, respectively.
APBOCWWB Chairman Jalley Sonam highlighted the board’s schemes for registered workers, and requested unregistered workers to get their names registered with the board.
Workers’ Registration Officer Punto Tana spoke about the benefits of the workers’ schemes, while CO Mary N Taloh explained the benefits provided under Jandhan account, PMBSY, PMJJBY and CMAAY.
Blankets, gumboots, mosquito nets, solar lamps and raincoats were earlier distributed among the registered workers, in the presence of Sonam and MLAs Phosum Khimhun and Tesam Pongte.
Around 300 workers attended the programmes. (DIPRO)
