TEZU, Mar 26: Eighty final semester students of BA, BCom and BSc took part in a recruitment drive for the posts of point assistant manager trainees and sales officer trainees conducted by a team of the Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, led by its executive Siddarth Saikia, at Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC) here in Lohit district on Tuesday.
The drive was organised with support from IGGC Principal Dr Kangki Megu and Education Department Head Dr Tage Yama.
The students were apprised of the proposed jobs, the job roles, job locations, salaries and benefits, after which they sat for a 20-minute online test on 4G-enabled smartphones. The selected students will now face an interview with the firm’s HRD manager.
The organisers said the exposure of the students to such a programme created an opportunity for them to prepare to enter into the job market once they leave their college.
