HAPOLI, Jun 25: Education Minister Taba Tedir said 400 posts will be finalized for regularizing SSA teachers after the authenticated lists are received from the DDSEs.
The minister said this during a review meeting with principals, headmasters and teachers of Lower Subansiri district, here on Tuesday.
Acknowledging the matter of delayed disbursement of the salaries of SSA and RMSA teachers, Tedir said concrete steps are being initiated to regularize their payments.
“The department shall strictly implement no out-of-turn promotions,” he said, and advised all the eligible members for the DPC to submit their ACRs on time.
On transfer and posting of teachers, he said, “Transfers shall be processed only through proper channel. Applications for transfers shall be entertained only during the end of the academic session. Once the APSC declares the results of the teachers’ interview, teachers shall be rationally posted to all schools.”
Agriculture Minister Tage Taki, who also attended the meeting, suggested decentralizing uniform funds among headmasters, withdrawing teachers from zero enrollment schools and posting them to regular schools, making setting up NCC units mandatory in secondary and higher secondary schools, appointing school inspectors under the direct control of the director, and conducting regular DPCs.
Expressing concern over the haphazard construction of school infrastructures, he asked the principals and headmasters to submit master plans for their schools, countersigned by the DC and the DDSE, to his office for further perusal.
Elementary Education Director Tapi Gao directed all the headmasters to “procure permanent SIMs against their schools for better coordination of welfare schemes like midday meal.”
“Aadhaar kits will be provided to every CD block by the education department to increase the Aadhaar enrollment of students and remove ambiguities in stipend and scholarship disbursement,” he added.
Secondary Education Director Gania Leij and DC (in-charge) Gombu Tsering also spoke.
Members of the school management committees presented reports on their schools, and highlighted issues like shortage of teachers and infrastructural gaps. They also suggested methods to improve enrollment and the performance of the students of government schools.
Later, smartphones were distributed to Class 12 girl students of the 2017-18 batch. (DIPRO)
