WAKRO, Aug 1: Lohit DC Prince Dhawan on Thursday visited the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and the Apna Vidya Bhavan here, and advised the students to stay away from drug abuse and mobile phones, “so that the focus remains on learning.”
Later, interacting with GBs and members of the community, Dhawan said, “The district administration is committed to improve the livelihood of the people by promoting farming and tourism. The emphasis will be on making farming and alternative livelihood activities profitable for the stakeholders.”
He informed that work is underway to streamline the education sector, especially with regard to periodic assessment of the students’ performance.
