ITANAGAR, Nov 1: Claiming that state Government is planning to hand over the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) to a private organization, the Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) has questioned the feasibility of marching 380 staffs on deputation without their prior consent.
“It is appalling that the Chief Medical Superintendent of TRIHMS) has given just seven days to the staff of the institute to decide. They should have been served a prior notice of not less than six months to decide the fate of the state hospital. Moreover, the Pema Khandu government and the governing body of TRIHMS should have taken the opinion of the people of the state for whom the hospital is meant for.”, said Green Arunachal Chairman Takam Tatung.
GAF demanded that the government appoint a new Health Minister immediately for facilitating smooth functioning of the health sector, which is one of the most important components of a modern society. It further said that state hospital does not have heavy generators of atleast 4 to 5 KVs for emergency purposes and many patients are operated in the hospital with power generated through invertors.
The Foundation further said that newly appointed governor have not given priority to visit the state hospital soon after his arrival in the state.
The GAF Chairman has also condemned the alleged fake appointment of 300 Multi Purpose Workers (MPW) and demanded a thorough investigation into it. The Foundation expressed surprise at the silence of the AAPSU and ANSU on this important issue.
