TEZU, Sep 28: A soft skills training programme for the students of the IGG College (IGGC) here in Lohit district was organized on Friday.
Principal Dr Kangki Megu, who inaugurated the programme, emphasized the need for acquiring soft skills, also known as employability skills, along with hard skills, by the students, “in view of the present complex and complicated employment processes.”
Commerce HoD Dr K Rajendra Babu explained the terms ‘hard skills’ (academic skills) and ‘soft skills’ (employability skills), and emphasized “the need for imbibing soft skills to improve employability.”
He also made a PowerPoint presentation on various other skills, such as communication, time, stress, and team management.
