YUPIA, Oct 1: The 31 Bn of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) organized a walkathon as part of the cleanliness fortnight under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ at Tigdo and Yupia village in Papum Pare district on 1 October.
The aim of the event was to spread the message of cleanliness as well as to educate the people about the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene practices.
Distributing dustbins to the villagers, the commandant advised them to keep their surrounding neat and clean.
On 28 September, the ITBP organized cleanliness drives at various educational institutes and health premises and at the railway station. The locals also actively participated in the cleanliness drives.
