YOMCHA, Oct 26: Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak on Friday reviewed the preparations for the 4th edition of the 27 Liromoba Sports Carnival, slated to be held here in West Siang district from the second week of November.
The MLA, along with ADC A Tayeng, the event’s organising chairman Kajar Gamlin, former ZPM Yiyom Yomcha, and other committee members inspected the general ground and the other venues.
Later in the day, the MLA and the ADC inspected the PHC here, and interacted with the doctors and the staff. He also visited the government higher secondary school (GHSS) and inspected the school’s classrooms, laboratory, and lavatory.
On being apprised of their problems and demands, Karbak asked the PHC’s MO and the GHSS principal to submit their requirements in writing, so that he may attend to them “on need-based priority.”
The MLA urged the government officers and staffs posted at Yomcha and Liromoba to remain at their places of posting, and directed the Yomcha ADC and the Liromoba EAC to initiate action against absentee officers and staffs.
He also asked them to not operate their offices from district headquarters Aalo.
Earlier, on Thursday, the MLA had visited Liromoba circle and inspected the PHC, the GHSS and the upcoming micro-hydel project there.
