ITANAGAR, Nov 20: The Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Unions (JWCAPTU) has appealed to the Hydro Power (eastern zone) chief engineer to initiate necessary step for grant of admissible financial assistance in favour of three contingency workers serving under the said department at Roing sub-division of Anini Division, who, the union claimed, had been earlier superannuated from their jobs without any financial assistance
In a notice to the chief engineer on Wednesday, the JWCAPTU said, “The three contingency workers, namely Lorence Borla, Suleman Boria and Purpa Lama have been relieved from their service on superannuation on 23 July, 2019 in accordance with FRSR-56 vide office letter No. SHPD/DHPD/E-2019-20/132-36, dated 25.07.2019 without prior information or notice served upon them before releasing them from the service. On receiving of release orders from the sub-division office on second week of August 2019, the contingency workers had individually apprised the AE and EE for their gratuity and superannuation benefits payment. However, no action or correspondence has been made from their end so far.”
The union has appealed to the chief engineer to either take early steps for grant of admissible financial assistance in favour of the said workers or re-engage them within 21 days of issue of the union’s notice, failing which it threatened to launch democratic action.
