ITANAGAR, Jan 28: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) on Tuesday submitted a representation to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, requesting him to scrap the system of online procurement through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal in the greater interest of the state’s business community and youths.
In its representation, the ANYA said the online procurement system “is against the interest of the business community of the state, who are regularly paying taxes and fees for dealership and trading licenses to the state government.”
It said most of the state government departments are procuring various materials and office items, including computers, vehicles, furniture, etc, through the GeM.
