AALO, Nov 23: In a representation submitted to the West Siang Superintendent of Police, various organisations of west Siang district have urged the district unit police to file charge sheet against one Jumde Geyi, arrested on November 7, for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl.
The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society, West Siang unit, the Paktu Ao Youth Welfare Association, the Student Union Movement of All Arunachal, West Siang unit and the Memo Ao Youth Association have appealed to the West Siang Superintendent of Police to give necessary direction to the investigating agency for filing charge sheet as early as possible and not to grant bail to the culprit for the heinous crime.
They also insisted on speeding up the process of investigation so that the culprit is given stringent punishment to give justice to the suffering minor and her family. (DIPRO)
