TAWANG, Sep 24: A field day for farmers was conducted at Bomba Village by the Deputy Director Agriculture (Research), Tawang on Sunday.
ADO and programme in-charge K B Kayastha demonstrated different technologies of scientific cultivation of cole crops, especially integrated nutrient management in cabbage.
‘Cole crops’ is a term used to describe several vegetables in the mustard family, including broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower etc.
He asked the farmers to adopt organic farming with optimal use of available resources. During interaction, the farmers got their doubts cleared from the resource person.
In all, 24 farmers and field functionaries attended the programme.
