KHONSA, Sep 25: A meeting in connection with erection of martyr Hangpan Dada’s statue was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner In-Charge, Techu Aran on Monday.
The statue is being transported from Delhi and is expected to arrive in Dibrugarh soon. It will be erected at Borduria and the site will be decided by the army in Khonsa (Bgd HQs).
The meeting held detailed discussion regarding erection of the statue, construction of protection wall, electricity and water supply facilities, etc.
The District Administration will discuss with the APEDA regarding provision of solar lights at the memorial site.
