AJM to boycott Chinese goods

ITANAGAR, Oct 2: The Arunachal Jagran Manch (AJM) on Monday said that it would take out a peace rally on November 20 next in the state Capital and various districts to boycott Chinese goods in the state.
AJM Coordinator Bengia Augung said that this was a medium to send out a message to the Chinese that Arunachal Pradesh will not be its business partner anymore.
The AJM and its volunteers would also burn down Chinese products to express their displeasure of the market monopoly of the Chinese during the rally.
Before that, from October 2 to 20, the AJM will hold meetings with leaders of political parties, organisations, market communities and host awareness programmes to boycott Chinese products.
Another Coordinator, Gojum Mahi Nyodu hoped that the people would support them in renouncing Chinese made goods and instead opt for Indian products.
If the market community fails to cooperate in its fight against Chinese products even after the 18-day programme, the AJM said that it would take action against the traders.
