ANSU writes to govt

ITANAGAR, Oct 11: A team of All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) headed by its president Toko Takam and General Secretary Tukbom Ligu met Education Minister and Secretary Education on Monday last regarding govt colleges.
The duo submitted a representation placing the grievances faced by the students of Govt. Tadar Taniang College Nyapin and Govt. College Yachuli.
“The Govt College Yachuli was established in 2008 and till date the college is yet to be affiliated with UGC because of which the students are not able to avail the benefits provided by the union government for tribal students,” stated ANSU.
Further union has appealed to authority to speed up the process for UGC affiliation/recognition and also demanded for posting of regular Principal at Yachuli College informing that present principal is going to retire by December 2017.
ANSU has also sought for immediate retention of English lecturer and posting of Hindi lecturer to the govt. Tadar Taniang College, Nyapin. The union further demanded for early posting of bus driver, proper electrification of college buildings and introduction of economics subject in the college at the earliest.
