ITANAGAR, Oct 20: Pakke Tiger Reserve Casual Worker’s Welfare Association (PTRCWWA) has in a release recently appealed to the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests-cum-Secretary, Department of Forest & Environment in particular, to take appropriate measures to stop the setting up of Patanjali Garden at Seijosa under Pakke Kessang in East Kameng district as per Forest Protection Act.
‘If the said project is set up at Seijosa, there will be massive destruction of flora & fauna and extinction of endangered animal besides many valuable species of trees. Moreover, Seijosa being a flood-prone area will witness much more floods and landslides causing grave damage to the lives and properties of the people and endangered animals if large-scale destruction of forests is carried out for said the project’, claimed Pakke Tiger Reserve Casual Worker’s Welfare Association (PTRCWWA) Chairman, Nabam Radhe in the release.
