Intramural competition begins

RONO HILLS, Oct 20: Intramural competition of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) was on Friday declared open by the Prof J. Sahoo in the presence of Commander A. Kiranchand Singh, 12th Battalion NDRF Doimukh and Asst. Prof Anil Mili.
The intramural competition in RGU is conducted annually to equip the students of physical education for their future endeavors. Various sports events like football, volleyball, handball, basketball, and badminton will be conducted in this competition within the Department of Physical Education.
The students of Physical Education Department were divided into two houses, namely ‘Bhagat Singh House’ and ‘Chandrasekhar Azad House’.
Azad House won the March Past competition judged by NDRF officers. Students from the Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga education performed yoga asanas explaining the benefits of Yoga for healthy mind and body.
Commander Singh encouraged the students to be determined and emphasized on trying and trying again until succeed.
Prof Sahoo also delivered few pieces of advice to the students for achieving success in life.
