ROING, Oct 30: Representatives of about 15 farmers’ clubs of Lower Dibang Valley district attended a ‘Meet with Experts for the Farmer Clubs of Lower Dibang Valley’ session, which was organized by the AMYAA NGO of Roing, with support of NABARD on Monday.
Experts for the session were Ibi Mepo and Abhinav Kumar who emphasised on the value addition of the products for the benefits of the farmers through organic farming. The experts discussed on importance of value added products especially on products of ginger and turmeric and explained the difference between organic farming and inorganic farming.
Earlier, AMYAA Secretary, Paul Chawang spoke about the challenges of the farmers in the region and their rights. He also advised the farmers to be well aware about the schemes provided by the government and avail its benefits.
