“Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak – New India Manthan at Likabali”

LIKABALI, Nov 10: The “Sankalp se Siddhi- New India Movement” programme for Lower Siang district was organized at Likabali on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner AK Singh dwelt at length about the constraints faced in collecting and updating required data of all the Central and State sponsored programmes and schemes for the newly created district.
Despite being a new district, the DC took pains to arrange the data on all important parameters for all the 11 circles and 6 CD blocks of the district.
He presented status of development programmes being implemented in the newly created district highlighting difficulties at the cutting edge level.
Deputy Speaker Tumke Bagra said that State Government is keen to disseminate information on all development programmes to the citizens.
He said that public leaders need to be fully aware of development programmes. He stressed that officials and elected representatives should strive for removal of communication gap.
Secretary RD & PR, who also is the in-charge Secretary of Lower Siang for ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak’, said that information on Government programmes need to reach all citizens.
He also highlighted objectives of “Sankalp se Siddhi,” and the visions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a “New India” free from corruption, poverty, caste and communalism.” The programme was formally launched on August 21 this year by Primer Minister Narendra Modi.
The detailed presentation of Secretary RD & PR covered all important aspects ranging from key priorities of State Government, including Aadhar seeding, food subsidy, public financial management system, GST roll out, government e-market place, BHIM App, Jan Dhan Yojana etc.
He also dwelt on all important flagship programmes, including status of implementation of these programmes in Arunachal Pradesh covering Agriculture and Allied Sector, Rural Development, Health and Family Welfare, Skill Development, Urban Development and Housing, and Education etc.
The programme witnessed interaction from many officials, Zilla Parishad Members and bankers, who freely exchanged their views.
The concluding remarks were given by MLA Kento Rina and the Deputy Speaker.
The team led by Secretary RD & PR would conduct two days field visits starting Friday to schools, health centres, anganwadi centres. The detailed report on this initiative shall be submitted to State Government.
