ITANAGAR, Nov 11: Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi is hosting an Inter- Child Care Institutions (CCI) Festival “Hausla 2017” for the children residing in CCIs who are Children In Need of Care and Protection under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. The main aim of the festival is to provide space to the children to express their creative, academic and physical abilities.
Department of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with Child Line, Itanagar and Child Care Institution run by Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun organised various competition on athletics, painting to select the children to participate in the Inter-CCI Festival “Hausla 2017” to be held in New Delhi which will commence from Nov 16-20.
The prize distribution ceremony to the winners was held in the premises of Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun.
While giving away the Prizes to the Children, Director, Women and Child Development T. Pertin Loyi told the gathering about the importance and objectives behind organising this festival and congratulated all the participants and appreciated the Child Line, Itanagar and Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun for their cooperation and active participation.
The Children living in the Child Care Institutions also expressed their happiness for organising such programmes for them which will inspire them to lead a normal life, said a departmental statement.
