ITANAGAR; Nov 12: Models walked the ramp adorning brilliantly colored and uniquely designed collections made out of indigenous fabrics enthralling the audience on the second day of the third North East India Fashion Week- The Khadi Movement at Nyokum Lapang ground here on Sunday.
Around 15 weavers and designers from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and New Delhi showcased their collection on the second day of third North East India Fashion Week- The Khadi Movement at Nyokum Lapang ground here on Sunday.
The line-up of the weavers, who presented their collections were, Mishmi weaver Banilu Ngadong from Arunachal Pradesh, Dimasa weaver Padmin Langthasafrom Assam, Tripura weaver Bhaktisut Hrangkhawl and Lotha weaver Zubeni Kikongo from Nagaland.
Besides, there were young as well as established designers from different states of the region and India, who showcased their designs and collections crafted out of the regional looms and fabrics. Noteworthy among them were Menty Jamir from Nagaland, Joy Moirangmayum and Thokchom Rameshwor Singh from Manipur; Lalthbiki from Mizoram, Tasso Lily Kago, Dolly Moyong, Salisha Yedi Bam and jewellery designer Renu Logum from Arunachal Pradesh, Rohila Engtipi from Assam and Vanshala Mishra from Delhi.
