ITANAGAR, Nov 14: The Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench has directed the state government to produce the relevant file regarding the money sanctioned for construction of a suspension bailey bridge at Kamala in Kurung Kumey district after three weeks.
According to a court order, petitioner Niktar Tagio had filed a case against the Public Works Department of Tali division, which is the construction agency, for allegedly sanctioning the money for the construction of the said bridge to the contractor even before the work was completed.
The court felt that the state government agency should file an affidavit explaining why the work has not been completed and why the bill was paid before its completion in clear terms.
