Pema hails West Kameng and Tawang for peace-loving nature

THRIZINO, Nov 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has hailed the people of West Kameng and Tawang for their peace-loving nature, tolerance as he appealed them to maintain the same.
“The people of these two districts are known for their respect for elders, discipline and integrity. Due to these positive natures, the two districts have been able to produce three Chief Ministers and several Union Ministers,” Pema said while addressing the 45th Neythrii Dow Festival of Hrusso community here on Wednesday.
“It is now the opportune moment to realize the strength in us,” he said and appealed to the people to maintain the tradition of peaceful coexistence among all tribes.
Taking note that Thrizino ADC headquarters was lagging behind among all other administrative headquarters in West Kameng district in development front, the Chief Minister assured all round development of the area.
Responding to a memorandum, Pema promised to immediately sanction fund for renovation of Govt. High School and construction of an indoor stadium here.
Stating that the long-pending demand for a Police Station in Thrizino has been fulfilled, Pema informed that 40 posts for the newly created police station has been sanctioned and officials and staff will be posted soon.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Police Station earlier in the day.
Releasing a book on Hrusso script ‘Ako Na Shipyow’ published by Hrusso Elite Society, Pema said the book will help preserve the language.
Earlier, he inaugurated the 28-km Thrizino-Palatary PMGSY road executed by RWD.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, State BJP President Tapir Gao, Health Parliamentary Secretary Phurpa Tsering, PHED Parliamentary Secretary Kumsi Sidisow also spoke on the occasion.
RD Parliamentary Secretary Mama Natung and Deputy Commissioner Dr Sonal Swaroop also attended the festival. (CMO)
