President to inaugurate new Legislative building

ITANAGAR, Nov 18: President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Itanagar on November 19 where he will inaugurate the new Legislative Building.
After years of delay, the building, the pet project of former Chief Minister Late Dorjee Khandu finally came up in May this year.
The President during his two day stay is scheduled to address the Legislators at a special session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Sunday afternoon.
Before the inauguration of the new Legislative building, the President will attend the valedictory function of the completion of 40 years of the Vivekananda Kendra in Arunachal at IG Park, Itanagar.
Meanwhile, the Capital District Administration has issued traffic advisory in view of the President’s visit.
Vehicular movement has been restricted on the route from Raj Bhawan to IG Park from 10.30 am to 11.30 am and 12 noon to 1.30 pm.
There will be no vehicular movement on the route from Raj Bhawan to State Legislative Assembly from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm and 4 pm to 5 pm.
All vehicles coming from Naharlagun to Itanagar have been diverted at Pappu Nallah from 10 am to 5 pm towards Jully- Ganga route.
There will be massive diversion of vehicles coming from Ganga towards Mithun Gate between 10.30 am to 1130 am and 12 noon to 1.30 pm. (DIPRO)
