PANGIN, Nov 24: The Siang District ICDS has organized a sensitization cum awareness programme on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (PWDVA) and Protection of Children from Sexual offence Act 2012 (POCSO) at DC’s conference hall here on Friday.
Pangin CO, Dr. Rani Mibang presided over the programme.
CDPO cum District Nodal Officer, ICDS, Omang Tangu informed the house about the important of the PWDA Act 2005 and POCSO Act.2002, while resource person and CDPO of Riga ICDS Project, Lenzing Tagi gave a power points presentation on the importance of the PWDVA Act. and POSCO Act.
In his address, DSP, Tadong Mingki has appealed to the Women Wing of Siang district to play important role to check unlawful activities in the society.
A total of 35 members, including JJB and CWC members, all CDPO’s of Siang district, NGO’s and Anganwadi Workers were present on the occasion. DIPRO
