KAMBA, Nov 25: Thousands of villagers were screened in a two-day mega health camp conducted at Kamba on Saturday.
Inaugurated by Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, the camp was held in remembrance of late Jumtum Tato, Mebom Niri, Nyotum Karbak, Joken Kamsi and Gumge Kato by Parliamentary Secretary Sports and Youths Affairs, Nyamar Karbak, in collaboration with the District Health Society of Aalo, Rama Krishna Mission Hospital Itanagar, Heema Hospital Itanagar, and military and paramilitary units of Aalo.
Addressing the gathering, Tashi elaborated on the need to maintain hygiene and the priority of the state government towards the health and education sectors.
Karbak said that a total of 43 doctors and para medical team from Itanagar and Aalo are taking part in the camp, which registered and benefited over 2041 patients by afternoon.
Indian Army Aalo Unit Colonel, Nand Kumar, Aalo DC Swatika Sachin, DMO Nyage Geye, several HoDs, PRI members and public leaders of the area also attended the camp to encourage participation.
