Kaso visits Sigu colony

NAHARLAGUN, Nov 28: Local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary (UD, PWD, ULB & Town Planning) Techi Kaso on Tuesday visited Sigu Colony, near Papu Nallah to understand the problems of the residents.
Interacting with the colony dwellers, Kaso said that the Itanagar Assembly Constituency is quite different from other constituencies in terms of population, fund provision, etc.
He said that there have been many difficulties in distribution of works for development of the Capital area.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the colony dwellers for construction of an approach road (1km), Kaso asked the EE, PWD Naharlagun division to start the road construction work by deploying workers and machinery, for which he assured to provide fund to meet fuel and other expenses.
He appealed to the residents to spare sufficient space for construction of the road so that it would not prevent easy access to public utility vehicles like fire, police, ambulance, water tankers during emergencies.
BJP (ST) Morcha President HInium Tachu, on behalf of local resident of Lower Sugu Colony, apprised the local MLA about the problems faced by the colony dwellers, especially school children due to absence of a proper colony road.
