ITANAGAR,Dec 6: NGO Joy7 Foundation on Wednesday organised a drawing competition for the students of City Mission School, Dokum Colony, with the aim of creating awareness on ‘road safety and security’.
Interacting with the students, Trans-Arunachal Highway Executive Engineer Nani Tath, who was the resource person of the event, advised them to educate themselves on road safety rules and create awareness on traffic rules among others.
Social activist Toko Obi gave a demonstration on traffic signals and safety measures for road users.
Joy7Foundation co-founder, Chuna Toko also delivered a lecture on road safety, while former AAPSU Vice President Toko Happy highlighted the rise in road accidents, and said road accidents are the leading cause of grievous injuries and fatalities.
City Mission School Chairperson Dr Joram Dol also spoke.
Altogether, 170 students participated in the competition.
