KARKO, Dec 19: The Upper Siang District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Tuesday conducted an awareness camp for the benefit of panchayat members, GBs, and other residents of Karko village, to sensitize them to the schemes available under the legal aid services.
DLSA Organizing Secretary, Oson Mibang, spoke about the schemes available under the legal aid services, while Advocates Dubom Tekseng, Kabang Taron, and Geni Pangkam explained about women’s rights, the Consumer Protection Act, the Juvenile Justice Board, AFR 1945, and the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme.
Legal brochures were distributed to the 55 participants as part of the programme.
