ITANAGAR, Dec 20: A 21-member karate team from various schools, accompanied by three officials, left here on Wednesday for Madhya Pradesh to participate in the 63rd National School Games Karate (U-19) scheduled to be held in Indore from 25-30 December.
Sensei Kakio Siga (A/T) is the chief-de-mission-cum-manager of the team which comprises 11 boys and 10 girls.
Sensei Rechi Kagung and Sensei Mui Ama are the coaches.
Secondary Education Director Gania Leij, DDSE (Establishment) S Ronrang, Youth Welfare Officer L Sukun Singh, State Sports Coordinator Takam Pate, Arunachal Karate Do Association (AKA) President Shihan Likha Tara, and AKA General Secretary Sensei Bulang Marik saw off the players and wished them all the best.
