SAGALEE, Jan 24: Former Chief Minister, Nabam Tuki advised the people of Pape Sango Panchayat under Leporiang circle to preserve the area’s natural vegetation and wildlife and help develop an eco-friendly Panchayat.
Addressing a huge gathering during a social awareness programme organized at Pape Sango Panchayat recently, he also suggested the unemployed youths to learn self employment skills and sustain economic benefits.
Also present on the occasion was Itanagar Municipal Council Executive Engineer, Tadar Tarang, who advised the youths to stay away from drugs and alcohol abuse.
Later, Tuki gave away mementos of appreciation to various officers of different fields as well as renowned personalities of the Panchayat.
Earlier, Tuki inaugurated the Primary Health Sub-Center and Forest Beat Office at the Panchayat and inspected the government residential school here and its newly constructed football ground.
Sagalee ADC Jalash Pertin, DFO Kalung Bida, RWD Executive Engineer Techi Totu, ZPMs Nabam Yakum and Nabam Tara, and various other stakeholders attended the programme.
