ITANAGAR, Jan 24: Alleging that a Primary Teacher (PRT) under Deputy Director Secondary Education, Papum Pare, has been recently promoted to the post of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) without maintaining Departmental Promotion Committee norms, the All Arunachal Pradesh Elementary Teachers’ Association (AAPETA) has in a letter to the Secretary Education on Wednesday, demanded immediate termination of services of the said teacher.
‘Awarding of promotion without adhering to the DPC norms is gross injustice to a number of other PRTs who have been awaiting the DPC since 1992’, the Association claimed and threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demand is not met at the earliest.
