NAMSAI, Feb 5: Development Commissioner Ashis Kundra held a pre-budget consultative meeting with the deputy commissioners of 11 districts of eastern division to understand the people’s development needs.
He interacted with all the deputy commissioners, departmental heads, farmers, authorities of various educational institutions, and students of eastern division.
The development commissioner appealed to all to put forward ideas and concepts to the state government so that the aspirations of the people and the development needs of various districts can be reflected in the budget proposals for the fiscal year 2018-19.
The participants put forward various innovative and new proposals in the sectors of health, education, tourism, infrastructure, agriculture and allied.
Proposals to fill up infrastructural needs and gaps were also put forwarded by the deputy commissioners of 11 districts of eastern division.
Apart from pre-budget discussion, Kundra also reviewed the progress in implementation of PM’s and CMs flagship programmes, district-specific projects and the impact of smart classes.
