LONGDING, Feb 6: The 36 Bn CRPF stationed at Khonsa in Tirap district provided four solar streetlights and 12 solar lanterns to Langmai village on Tuesday under its civic action programme.
Located 16 km from the district headquarters here, Langmai village, which was bifurcated from Chanu village, in 2002, is yet to receive electricity connection.
The items were handed over by SR Behura, commandant of the 36th Bn CRPF camp based at Longding. The oldest person of the village, Huangam Wangnaw, distributed the lamps on behalf of the paramilitary forces. (DIPRO)
