DC urges PIs to work transparently

YUPIA, Feb 8: Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye called on political interpreters (PI) to assist the district administration and the government in a transparent manner.
Kaye was speaking during a meeting with the district’s PIs in his office here on Thursday. He instructed the PIs to submit ACRs/APARs through their administrative officers to the DC; to maintain proper uniform code while on duty; and to not misuse their powers and functions.
Advising them to avoid interfering in political activities, the DC asked them to also avoid unions and associations, and urged them to adhere to the transfer and posting directives as and when implemented by the DC, and to assist the administration to protect the administrative headquarters and township areas from encroachment.
Later, the DC chaired a meeting with panchayat leaders to discuss proper implementation of development grants-in-aid to the zilla parishads and anchal samitis for local area development.
He urged the panchayat leaders to utilize the funds as per the norms and guidelines, so that benefits reach the people.
DPDO JT Toko and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nabam Aka also spoke.
All ZPMs and AS chairpersons were present in the meeting. (DIPRO)
